I'm trying to use this theme primarily in English but would like to also use the occasional Korean name. Although I can write / cut and past Korean characters into a post when I am writing it - and it shows correctly - when I preview or post the text I get a series of ??? in place of the Korean symbols. Does anyone know a way around this? I have 'Encoding for pages and feeds' set as UTF-8. Any ideas?

I doubt this is possible. Wordpress is designed to render text in different languages for each installation. You can run a plugin to manipulate text from one language to another, but not as a mix of both.

I wondered the same but yesterday found this blog - koreanindie.com - they've managed to do it. Or is this not a Wordpress site?
It does appear that this is WordPress using Arras. You will need to contact them and find out what they've done. If you figure it out. Come back here and let us know what needs to be done. It could be helpful for others.
Well I managed to get in touch with the owner of that site but he told me that he hasn't made any changes to the theme in order to be able to display Korean characters. He says that he is using a Mac (I'm not - would this make a difference?) and to try and cut and paste characters - which I've already tried and does not work.
Have you tried both the rich text editor and the html editor?
