Good effort! Two things I'd change though:
- the huge header logo (a bit too high, which makes the content drop down a lot and you have to scroll to see much of the content)
- the intensely annoying tiled background
it's not a bad one, just that it takes a LOT of attention to the content away. Maybe you could fade it out some more (to like 10%) so it doesn't interfere with the colours of the main bit.
Other than that, keep it up ![]()
Designwise, there's not really enough contrast between your background and the body of your site. I'd take your background image and substitute the white for a darker colour to add a bit more distinction from the site's body.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the size of the logo but I personally think the style is too similar to the background of the site. Because the background is bigger, I think the focus is drawn away from what would otherwise be quite a bold and striking logo.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
The background image is not perfect but for the time being I am leaving it as it is, that tiled logo is used as the profile picture on FB and Twitter so as annoying as it is as the background..at least people will begin to recognize it.
But I agree, it has got to be changed sometime soon
Cool work, you could keep the logo in the background but may be inverted,
also the banner at the top would do with a white background.
Something like this may be

Yeah, that looks good. Thanks for the advice.
How do I invert the background image the way you have?
The invert on the background image is done in photoshop
invert+hue+lightness
All the best
