zy,
I see that the way filters for the 'Featured' queries are done has changed.
I was using the 'arras_featured[1,2]_query' filter in my child theme to completely change the query which arras is using to get the posts for the featured displays. However, with the new mechanism, it is not possible to completely replace the query since the 'arras_prep_query' function uses 'wp_parse_args' to "merge" the default array with the passed in array.
I do believe that there should be a way to limit 'arras_prep_query' so it does NOT modify the passed in array.

Hi, use the file in the zy's reply
I've attached the file that fixes the array_unique error. Simply rename it to template.php overwrite the file in /wp-content/themes/arras/library/.
Hello all,
I upgraded to Wordpress 3.2 and installed the 15.1 and was met with the following issues:
1. "thumb" no longer working: The field is still there with the image URL but the images just don't show up.
Solved by downloading the new template.php ->>> 2. "Warning: array_unique() [function.array-unique]: The argument should be an array in /home/thezarg/public_html/wp-content/themes/arras/library/template.php on line 254" shows up.
Any help in solving this would be much appreciated. (Website: http://thezargon.org)
Update I have just noticed that "Featured Posts" is not including all of the posts on the category I have chosen. I have selected to show 6 posts but only 2 posts are appearing.

Zy thanks! Did you know that your theme is also used in Brazil?
(Obrigado Zy! Voce sabia que seu tema é utilizado também no Brasil?)
when is 1.6 coming?
i do not understand how "upgrade" works outside of a normal, automatic upgrade from inside wordpress software. i keep seeing messages here that say "update the theme" by deleting the previous version. but if we update the theme, does that not wipe out the content of the site: all the posts, the images, the layout? please advise -- help!
on super chef, we were using the last automated upgrade (1.3.x? 1.4.x? it's been so long) and updated wordpress to 3.2. we got a fatal error immediately and so added the "template.php" file as advised. now we get a new message: "Fatal error: Call to undefined function arras_get_sidebar_thumb_size() in /home/content/f/o/r/forbie1/html/wp-content/themes/arras-theme/library/launcher.php on line 15" is that because the version of arras theme was so old that the new template.php file would not work? or do we _have_ to upgrade to arras 1.5.1 for the PHP file to work?
and a third item: why not just call up our web hosts and have them install wordpress version 3.0 over 3.2? won't that fix the original problem?
thanks, it's back up!

Hi guys,
I've done the download and the fix, but am still having problems. My sidebar widget is messed up, and so is my wordpress dashboard (drop down menu functionality not working) - is this theme related? Also the preview post text isn't showing up with each post in quick preview mode.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated
Thanks. ![]()

"Hide duplicate posts" - function is not working properly
Warning: array_unique() [function.array-unique]: The argument should be an array in /mysite.com/wp-content/themes/arras/library/template.php on line 254I have replaced the template.php but I am still having problems with the slideshow. It does not work at all.
thank you for this wonderful theme. For sometime I wanted to use this theme on one of my sites and now I am implementing it here: http://easy-life.sabza.org
I would really appreciate if someone could help me fix these two issues:
1. Post thumbnails are cropped images not resized images this makes them look odd in Featured posts and tabbed sidebar.
2. When I check the box to avoid duplicated on main page I get this error:
Warning: array_unique() [function.array-unique]: The argument should be an array in /home/noumaan2003/sabza.org/easy-life/wp-content/themes/arras/library/template.php on line 254Hi guys,

Thanks.
I'm having the same issue - after downloading the template.php fix (thanks, Ny!), the main page of my site looks great. But when I click on a post, the sidebar is all scrambled. Any help would be lovely! http://www.brian-nagel.com
*UPDATE* I went through and disabled my plugins, reactivating them one by one. Turns out it was the sexybookmarks plugin causing the issue. Should've figured that out earlier...

can someone help¿?
Go back and read this thread from the beginning, that is what it is all about.
friends and colleagues,
is it safe to say that upgrading to wordpress 3.2 renders arras-theme nearly inoperable due to fatal errors?
for super chef, i could not get the template.php to fix any problems, so i tried using older versions -- and all of those caused fatal errors, thanks to wordpress 3.2.
shall zy then just post a major warning to all (registered) arras-theme users _not_ to upgrade to wordpress 3.2 until he has had a chance to fix the fatal errors in arras-them which 3.2 causes?
further, is there any real fix for those of us already stuck with wordpress 3.2? most simply, i would happily go back to wordpress 3.1 -- if only i know how. (do any of you?)
I have a problem with the slideshow, please help me. The url is http://pcarea.info/. What can I do?
1.5.1 works for me, but I've left v1.4.3.1 in my themes folder in order to save the changes I've made to layout, menus, design, etc... I can select either one from the theme picker in WP, but if I attempt to preview v1.4.3.1 I get the same error as super chef:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function arras_get_sidebar_thumb_size() in /home/andersonoo7/nickandjas.com/wp-content/themes/arras-theme-old/library/launcher.php on line 15
Are we going to have to modify .css again to our specific liking for all versions post 1.4? Let's hope not. A working patch would be wonderful.
Regards,
n
