This is my site http://greenerthanyoutoo.com/ I'm just getting started with this theme and learning the ins and outs.  I've tried everything I can think of but the Featured stories widget in the top right sidebar continues to have an image placeholder that is larger than the sidebar.  I've tried telling the widget NOT to display thumbnails, I've tried resizing various thumbnails in the theme settings.   There is no image in the post OR set as a featured image.  Is there a way to either make the image placeholder go away entirely or at least make it the right size?

Also I'm experiencing a glitch with my saved changed.  They don't seem to want to take effect until after I've published a post?  What's up with that?  And how do I fix it?
