Topic: A work in progress

Like I said a work in progress.  Can't seem to keep the images in the slideshow to not stretch way out like they are.  Peeked around at other websites on this forum and saw some great layouts and since I am new to this whole thing it is a bit tough to figure out things. 

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well I have been working on this site for a while now and so far I am liking where I am at with it. Just needed to figure out how to get a new logo or banner.  Who knows maybe this is where you guys can come in.  I am running a contest over at my website for a Logo/Banner for my site.

a couple of things mate:

the banner at the very top of the website really doesn't seem to fit there. It won't be very effective either, so you might want to try and place it between the header and the content for example (or within the content itself).

Also, the background seems a tiled, which doesn't look very good. Perhaps there's a way to create a seamless tile out of the current background, I don't know how though.

Other than that, it appears you have some great content already! Keep that up, keep tweaking your site and someday you just might be able to make this site big.
