I'd really like to see a way to dictate whether to allow comments on pages and posts. For example, I have a contact form page, but the author box and comments appear. This is not a page that would require user input nor do I want it. I think even perhaps, adding this selectable function to the post and page creation page would be ideal - in the "PUBLISH" widget, where authors may select what date to publish or if the post is private or public.

I would also like to see a built in contacts page as a child theme.
