Topic: Can't Find Arras

I am setting up a second blog and want to use the Arras theme as I did on my first.

When I search the WordPress theme inventory, nothing comes up for Arras.

I can download it directly from this site, but how do I activate the theme in WordPress as WP does not appear to recognize it?

Thanks.

Re: Can't Find Arras

Are you searching for "Arras Theme" or "Arras"? If i search for arras I'm able to find it with no problems.

Re: Can't Find Arras

Maybe this will help,

wp-admin-->Themes--> (tab) Install themes --> Search for themes by (pick term)-->type arras into search box.
Install Arras

Re: Can't Find Arras

I'm searching for 'arras' and nothing comes up.

And from my admin screen, I don't see any tabs or options to Install Theme.

I've tried it in the wp-admin, wordpress.com and wordpress.org and arras simply does not seem to exist.

Re: Can't Find Arras

Really?!?!?

http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/search.php?q=arras

[yoursite url]wp-admin/network/theme-install.php?tab=search&type=term&s=arras&search=Search

I see it everywhere. It looks glorious.

Re: Can't Find Arras

From my wp-admin Dashboard screen I click [Change Theme].  That takes me to the Manage Themes page.  On the right side of the screen, opposite where it says "Browse Themes", is a search box into which I type 'arras'.  I get the message "No themes to Display!" back.  I know I can download it from wordpress.org or from this site, but I see no way to activate the theme once it's downloaded and unpacked.

I guess I forgot how I did this when I set up my first blog, but this second blog is a complete fail at this point.

Re: Can't Find Arras

I' ve downloaded it countless times and FTP'd it up to the server.  I've put it into the themes sub-directory and unarchived it.

But I see no way to activate it.

I'm using the same version of wp (3.1) that I use for my other blog where everything works just fine.

Re: Can't Find Arras

Are you using the multi-site feature? This is where you control all themes and plugins for your network. You cannot use them until they've been activated for your network.

If you are on the Manage Theme page, using the search bar will only search the installed themes. You should go to "Install Theme" and do the search there.

As I said "Install Theme", but for make it sure need to know for sure if he is not using multi-site feature like dgodfather mention. Also maybe the best will be a fresh install of WP, or checkin' permissions before do that, just to be sure.

Re: Can't Find Arras

This thread is old BUT I can't find it ANYWHERE on Wordpress to down load and activate.

I have used it for this

http://horsenponyonline.com/

Liked it for all the seo features. And to my mind ease of customization look.

I REALLY don't feel like uploading the files manually from a copy of my horse site... sigh.
