Having problems, the sticky post not showing as the first item and is there a way to get pictures in the slides show without them being distorted or how do I adjust the size of the slide show box

I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to post stickies in this forum. In general with most forums the latest post is on the top (with stickies showing first). Arras uses a plugin called timthumb which up-sizes or downsizes a picture based on the size defined for your slideshow box. You will be best off if you provide pictures that are just slightly smaller than the slide show box.
To change the size you go to Arras>Theme Options>Thumbnails and change the Features Slideshow sizes. (Assuming your using the latest version of Arras 1.5.X)
