Topic: Sticky Post Problem - Error 404 message

Hi

I've been having this problem for a while now. I make some of my posts sticky so they appear on my homepage. When i remove the posts from the homepage i just unckeck the "sticky post" check box in the posts options area, press save and they come off the homepage.

This isn't happening with all of the posts. On some posts when i un check the check box and then press save rather than removing the post from the homepage i get an "Error 404" page and the post stays sticky on the homepage.

How can i fix this issue? Is there a problem with the post?

website is www.funknaughty.com

error message is:

Error 404 - Not Found

We're very sorry, but that page doesn't exist or has been moved.
Please make sure you have the right URL.

Re: Sticky Post Problem - Error 404 message

Is the URL that the sticky is looking for correct? I assume it's http://www.funknaughty.com/wishlist-mem … 1285596293

Is this a plugin that is being used as well?

Re: Sticky Post Problem - Error 404 message

Hi dgodfather.

This is one of the posts that wont "un sticky" http://www.funknaughty.com/2011/10/2594/

When i un check the sticky check box and press update i get taken to this page http://www.funknaughty.com/wp-admin/post.php

This happens with all the 'problem' posts that i have tried to un sticky and remove from the homepage... I've double checked and the posts url addresses are the same in the backend as they are when you view them on the website.

I don't have this problem with all the posts, just certain ones.

The plug in you refer to is wishlist member it allows us to run the site as a membership site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
A

It seems like something is conflicting with the plugin. Is it possible to temporarily disable it and test to see if is the cause of the problem or not?
