Topic: Featured Posts #2 and News Count Question

Hi all,

I'm trying to make so that, on my front page, below the slide show there's 9 Node Based preview links, and then the Older Entries link, which would display the archives of my site in Per Line form. Is there any way of doing this so I don't see any Per Line links on my front page?

In other words, I'd like my whole front page to be Slideshow + Node Based, and my Archives and Search to be Per Line. If I use the theme editor to delete the News Posts part of Home, it also makes my archives blank.

Yes, in the Arras Theme Theme Options.

Layout: News Display Type, change it into Node based.

You won't be able to see my Archives page because this is a theme preview with the Test Drive plugin, but I don't want the Per Line part on my front page, because it only doubles what my Featured #2 Node Based section already shows and is redundant. I just want the Node Based part with my Archives/Older Entries being Per Line.

Is there any way of doing this?

Can't you just set the news count to 0?

Anyone figured this out?

1. Disable featured categories #2

2. Make news display as nodes or quick preview

3. Done
