Topic: Want to start a new topic for ARRAS THEME and WORDPRESS MULTISITES?

Hi there!

I have this idea for all of us who uses ARRAS as the main theme in a  WORDPRESS MULTISITE.3.O+

First of all, there is no place like this anywhere. All the information is absolutely messy. The problem is NOT the installation of the wordpress multisite network. I have 3 days trying to make this plug in to work into my arras theme. They offer others compatible themes, but I wont do that. I want my Arras Theme! And I think I am not alone on this.

For example: The issue of the thumbs or images that would never pass to the main site from others blogs in the network. Try to grab information about that, you get dizzy, at least I feel that way.

Other case, the "add this" social plug, has problems on showing buttons below excerpts, It's no one fault, we just need to connect and share knowledge in one place, specifically talking about the experience of using ARRAS with thirds plugs.  For example we can follow the development of fixes that are out of the core of the ARRAS theme, and in the main time add the fixes to the core theme if you see that is appropriate.

I have to say that this template is the "core skin" of my platform, so I want to support Arras, with my time, resources, money if necessary because we are all "virtual partners", and we HAVE to support each other.

My idea is this:

Please open a place where we can EXCLUSIVELY talk about ARRAS AND WORDPRESS MULTISITE NETWORK, by sharing knowledge, fixes and following up new issues that could affect the performance of the Arras theme in a WP Multisite environment.

I can donate time to organize all issues about the WP-Multisite Platform or help in any way.

I don't know if this makes sense for u ppl, is anybody with me?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, #3 is probably the biggest problem I have. I really need to find a way around that. With multiple posters on my site, I can't rely on everyone to post the same picture hundreds of times.

I use multisite and use arras on my 3 blogs but will it really cause this much problems? (i havent started on the other 2 blogs only my main one so i dont know) if there is porblems then i yes i opt into this idea!

I'm not following entirely what the purpose of this forum would be over what we already have. There should be no actual issues with Arras itself on a multi-site environment unless it's conflicting with plugins, which in return is a plugin or coding issue not relevant to the Arras architecture. I run a number of installs using arras on multiple domains. The only thing you might consider an issue is the way Wordpress handles media for multi-site.

Arras will be updated at some point in the future and it's likely it will make it's way back into the Wordpress.org theme listing. It will then support automatic updates and changelogs. Until then you will need to follow those changes at the arras google code page @ http://code.google.com/p/arras-theme/
