The first beta of Arras Theme 1.4 is now available!

Please note that being a beta, it is highly recommended that you do not use it in a production server. Remember to backup your WordPress installation before upgrading!

If you have encountered any bugs, please report them either here at the forums or at the Google Code project page.


Known Issues

  • Some options will not be transferred during the upgrade. This is due to the changes to some of the options ID.

  • 1.4 Beta 1 is not tested on WordPress 2.8.

  • New Times CSS has not been updated for this version.

I too am interested in any general documentation on the theme in general.  I tried to edit the Hello world post that came with the installation to show in the featured slideshow.  Also wanted to know how to get a thumbnail to show up in the page.  www.madnyc.org/wordpress

Thanks man! btw, you mention the SVN checkin ability on the download page, but we need a public initation file, or a user name and pass to connect. unless i'm missing something. I'm extremely noob sometimes haha.

This is my site using 1.3.6, www.badcompanytwo.com   anyways, on to the bug reporting

Just installed the theme to a fresh wp 2.91 installation and fresh database to play around with it.

First thing i did was check out the 1 column layout. It's mis aligned, using FireFox 3.5.7

Unless you meant it to be that way, with the widgets being on the left, in that case, it would be 2 column again tho wouldn't it?

arras theme lack in support , nice theme, but still we users dont know wats development is going on

also hard to make chnages if i did to 1.3.4, then i get messed in coming version

I'm using the 1.4 Beta version (http://gm-blogging.de) and there is a bug i experienced:

- when you add a new post in the featured posts area, the images with it's shorttexts are not displayed right (if you have 2 rows). I handle it by using the "more-tag" at the right position, so that the text of the featured post on the right is the longest (if  don't understand what i mean, i will upload a screenshot at the end of this post ;P)

.. but all in all it's a pretty theme and i've fun with it!

if i will experience more bugs, report it here..

There should be Bottom Content #3 for widgets in 1 column layout. Correct me if  I'm wrong cos i need this.

The Arras theme is absolutely great!
I'm using it for a german website, which I plan to translate (on a new domain) to English.

Would you suggest to me to use the new Bet or to use the old 1.3 version?
