I have  a similar problem
"The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar."  it worked before  but  now it does not. i dont have the option to create parent menu and  child menu.

so do i have to update my arras theme? when i update does it remove my previous settings? do i just overwrite my old arras theme  with the one from http://code.google.com/p/arras-theme/do … -1.5b2.zip    through FTP?

Hi, I hope someone can help. Ive got 3 menu's in appearance > Menu but only one of them shows on my site. The one that shows is a custom link and the other 2 are categories. Any ideas?

when u made the 3 menu's, are they under parents? or child?..  so on your site, u only see 1 menu and 2 submenus under it or what?

they are all set as parent menus, so should show up individually. my site is below and should show 4 menu's. Home page (custom link to the main page),  Interviews (a category), MMA Event Reviews (a category), and MMA sites (a page).

It should show 1 menu, not 4. Did you make 4 seperate menus or one with 4 items?

That doesn't work. You have to make one with multiple items.

I can't believe I had to register just (almost) post the question about this - I completely missed that feature. I really, really like it though, much more intuitive than the old way of organizing the menu(s). Thanks for a great contribution - I will be using it a lot!

hi, I have been searching this forum regarding my menu in nav bar..
I have made a parent menu scenery and 2 child menu for drop down landscapes and cityscapes, but the drop down doesn't show.
it looks like the dropdown drops into the nav-bar container.

I came to the IE7 problem conclusion at first...
but some website i can see the drop down box..
here is an example of a website from post #39 which i can see the dropdown box clearly..
any suggestions

and idea on how to fix to IE6 And IE7 i am having visual bugged in IE6 And IE7, the horizontal menu is bugged.

you can only see one category even if you have 5 category thank you..

i hope someone will post on how to fixed the visual bugged in IE6 And IE7.

Hi, I am relatively new to wp - but have tried out 10-15 templates.

Arras I like a lot, but I don't know how to make the categories go away and how to get  my menus back.

I am in the midst of re-creating my menus via wp 3.01, buytnowhere, as far as I can see, where I can change the "categories as menues" ?

please help.

EDIT: it would appear that they vanish, when I create menues in WP! Not bad at all - even if I don't understand the functionality - why it does it this way. But the manues appear in alphabetical order?

EDIT 2: I do not get more than one menu. I need a minimum of five. HOW, please?

The categories you have on activation are just a fallback. Create a menu you like with the WP menu-builder.

I don't. at least not in the sense that wp makes menues possible.

sorry, I wasn't being clear, but I hadn't quite understood it yet.

I had a total of seven menus plus home, with a total of 28 sub-manus. I realise now I have to manually construct this hierachy again with interjected empty parent pages, in order to reduce them to five in total. it takes a while, and I find it quite annoying, I am sorry to say, that it is not an automatic import of my previous menu pages.

Hi I am using the Custom Menu widget in the primary sidebar to show a menu I have made. The menu has top and sub navigation. On screen, the sub navigation is shown indented, but what I would really like is it to only show when you go to the parent page. So if under About I had Projects, Staff, Contact for example, rather than indenting projects staff and contact, you wouldn't see them until you went to the About page.

Is this possible? Any help would be great!

OK.. haven't seen this one yet..how to get more than 6 menu nav bar top titles across the menubar? smile
I want to run titles ALL the way across the main content of the pages but can only fit 6. then the additional menu items show up on the next line.
ANYONE?
tried to change user.css with Nav switches and all i get is a nav bar that starts at margin: 0. Just want to put in 3 more titles between the end of the topNav items and the FB icon at right..

Hi.

I'm using a child theme with Arras. In the homepage, single and page template, the menu can be seen.

But when I click on Archive to view by categories, the Menu is missing. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi,
Is there a limit to the number of items you can place on the Navigation bar menu? If I put more then 15 (and I need to have more than 15 with all the sub-categories included) the last one becomes a 'custom' page or category and thus becomes unclickable.
Can you help me please?
I temporarily merged some categories but I'd like to have a better solution.
