Articles not appearing; color question

Two quick questions, both pertaining to the website linked below. First, for some reason the two dummy articles I published into the blog are showing up in the Slideshow, but not under Featured Stores or Latest Headlines; yes, both sections under settings are set to accept all categories. The other question I had, was weather or not I could change the color of the fine lines surrounding and within the main/footer boxes, as I couldn't find that in the tutorial.

header space

hello, i would like to ask how to get rid of the space to the right of my header. i remember searching for it on the forum, but cannot find the thread again. i would also like to know how to center the header as well. im using dynamic header at the moment. i would also want to know why it is not centered. thank you

Incorrect categories displaying on home page

I just updates to version 1.5 and am having some category issues. Apologies if this has already been adressed and I just couldn't find it. In the News Posts section, I only want it to display blog posts (as opposed to the other categories). I have selected Blog from the category dropdown and enabled offset, but other categories are still showing up in the news.

Is It Posible To Recover My Site?

I had a memory limit error and in the process lost my installation. But I have recently learn how to fix such.

Can I possibly recover my previous site?

Here is what I have:
A backup of the blog (I had a WP-backup plugin installed) | It was on WP v2.9 and Arras 1.3+

Will it be possible?

Changing Post Dimensions

Is there a way to change the dimensions of a single post or page itself?

I want to embed videos, but have them dimensions closer to the native resolutions - which I can't really do since the videos wouldn't fit inside the theme in it's present state.

Hide the comment count on pages

I'm full of questions today, I guess. Well, here goes another one. I would like to hide the box in the upper right of pages that displays the comment count (circled in the attached screenshot). I've attempted to add visibility:hidden to the entry-comments line in the CSS, but that hides the count in the Featured sections on the front page, but does nothing for the pages. Any other ideas?

Using WP 3.0.1 and Arras 1.5.1.

Menus appear behind content in IE

The drop-down menus are appearing "behind" the content in IE. I am using Wordpress 3.0.1 and Arras 1.5.3. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi,

I recently purchased the Classical Gamer child theme, but I am having a few issues with it.

I am currently using the following:
Arras version 1.4.3
Classical Gamer version 0.9

The one site it is loaded on at the moment is www.vampiredaze.com which is part of my blogging network at www.worldblogosphere.com which is running the new WP 3.0 software.

#1) While in Node Mode all the thumbnails appear supersized. I have tried regenerating the thumbs, I have tried adjusting the size of the thumbs to the suggested size, and then regenerating again...all with no luck. So, how can I fix Node Mode?

#2) When I tried loading in a header image/logo it appeared on the Design page, but didn't affect the blog page itself. Same thing with the background image. As I typed this I had a thought that I might know why this isn't working. I have copied the CG file for the individual blog and named the file VDClassic. Is the problem that the coding tells it to look for classical-gamer folder? If so, where is the line of code that calls the folder so I can change it?

#3) Since I could not get the header or background images to work through the Design page I hard coded them into the page. If I leave it that way I need to know how to remove the blog title and info from the header so it isn't on top of my header image.

#4) After regenerating the thumbs the featured scroller is working. However, there seems to be at least one image that is skewed/stretched. That same image shows full size in the Featured Posts widget on the single pages. How do I go about fixing that?

#5) Is there an updated version of the Arras parent theme that works with the Classical Gamer child theme?

Fatal Error On My WP Installation

I cannot access my wordpress dashboard. Here is the error message when I want to access ...../wp-admin

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/thecoalc/public_html/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 468

I have gone to the specified page, I can not see a thing like memory extension. Pls who understands this message.

(Note: I have recently lost this site (nearly two years old with over 4,000 posts) as a result of a similar thing - had to remove the blog and start all over again).

Google Custom Search

Is there any way that you can replace the default search that wordpress provides with the Google Custom Search engine box? I can't seem to find out how to replace the box in the upper right hand corner with the appropriate code.

I know that as an option, one could use the code that they provide you and just stick it in a widget, but I wasn't able to style it right and it would take up extra space (as opposed to replace the current one in the upper right hand corner.)

Anyone have an idea how to make this work without a plugin? Maybe a PHP hack or someone has cleverly figured it out?

Changing header dimensions

How do you resize headers in the new version? I upgraded, and my header banner no longer fits, it's too tall.
