Main menu size/height issues

Hi,

Just installed Arras and think it is fab.

I am having trouble with the main menu, I would like to change the font size to 15px and have successfully done that.

However, I cannot get the height correct.

my css in the user.css file is:

#nav .sf-menu { font-size: 15px; text-transform: capitalize; }
#nav .sf-menu a { font-size: 15px; text-transform: capitalize; }
#nav .sf-menu li li a { font-size: 15px; text-transform: capitalize;}

to increase the height I have included:

#nav {height: 40px}

This now increases the height but background has not changed. (see pic)

What do I need to do to adjust the background to reflect the height changes? So that the colours are not strange.

If I increase the font and not the height then the border of each menu item is higher that the menu.

Question about Categories

Everytime I create a new category and make a post using said category, it automatically appears in the top menu just beneath where it says the name of the blog. Is there anyway to prevent this? I used the widget so that categories will appear in the sidebar and that's the only place I would like them to go.

Also, if there is a solution to this, how then would i go about adding links to the top menu without selecting a category?

How can i widen the slideshow ??

I changed the main width to 1100px and i want to change the width of the slideshow too.
Does anyone know how i can do that ?

Getting Arras to work with Default Thumbnail Plus plugin

Greetings - I have Arras Theme installed (current version) and i would like to get it working with the Default Thumbnail Plus plugin. Anyone have any luck with this? Basically, I want to display default featured image / thumbnail that is based on category and/or tags. Is this possible?

I'm having a bit of a mental block, basically I need to have the featured posts 2 section appear at the bottom of single.php . I can't seem to find anything on the search so any help would be grateful.

The button's only show after the post but not on the homepage. I checked my plugin and the "Homepage" option is checked. However when I choose "traditional" on the Arras display options, the buttons show on the homepage. I seem to only have trouble with "Quick preview"

Hide empty sidebar

I am using Arras theme with two right sidebars. I want the two sidebars on the homepage but only one on other pages.

I am not enough of a programmer to see how to create a template with only one sidebar but I suspect that would be the easiest solution.

Can anyone help?

bottom content widget not visible

Hello there
Just started usind Arras (1.5.2), and I like it. Using 3 col (2 sidebars)
But any kind of widget I place in bottom content is invisible! Sidebar 1 and 2, and footer works ok.

I have been looking everywhere, and found a lot of answers - but only to related issues...
I am not a php nerd, but not a WP newbie either.
But this is strange...

Hope to find a clue here, thanx.

Dupliacting the home.php, header.php and using different css

Hi,
I need to build a second language version for the same site built with the Arras theme - since the original was RTL and the 2nd language needs to be LTR, I need to call to different css files for this version, but I can't seem to be able to do it, because Arras is overriding the call to the CSS files from the header.php

Any clue?

I am building a site for a client that needs to be in both hebrew and english. I built the site in hebrew, and now for the english version - i do not know how to call for a different css from the header.php (apparently it's something arras is defining outside of the header.php)
